Lot #266 - Portland & Rochester Pebble Finish Cast Panel Car Lock
A most unusual P&RRR "C"ar
lock. The lock design and lettering are just like the hard to find
"B&MRR" models that turn up every few years. It's from New
England and is believed to be from the Portland & Rochester Railroad,
which was absorbed by the Boston & Maine 1893. The lock has a wonderful
pebble finish on both sides. The front shows 5 fat rivet heads. The dust
cover spring works fine. The bit is very odd and takes an undersized barrel.
Excellent condition.
