Railroad Presentation
Size Queen
Type 2 color globe
Condition Excellent

Silver Plated Queen Conductor lantern with both the frame and 2 color globe marked "Wm E. Smith". The silver plating was an expensive option offered by lantern manufacturers. The frame has "Presented to Wm. E. Smith" inscribed on the lid. The frame has a wire bottom and the fount assembly is threaded and it completely "field strips" to its components. There is a tiny pin in the fount cup that locks the fount into a specific point in the frame.

The Globe is an outstanding example of a Green over Clear with a presentation wreath and the initial "WES" cut in Old English lettering. The Globe measures 5" in total height with a 4 1/2" display area. The top diameter is 2 3/16". The base diameter is 2 1/2". The burner is missing but it is a standard #2 size and not something impossible to find. Excellent condition.
