Hanson was located in Chicago, Illinois. Hanson also made police and cap badges. I do not know how they met their demise. Perhaps they were gobbled up by a more prolific maker such as Wilcox. Hanson tags tend to be from western roads (see the images below).

Note the hallmark is even smaller than the Sata Fe tag above. This seems odd because this tag is so much bigger. Perhaps the larger hallmark indicates an earlier tag.
