This group of locks are all from Express
Companies. This style of lock is often marked on the shackle on one side and
large lettering is stamped across the reverse side. The group
includes: (1) Double marked American Railway
Express "PL1121" with old chain (2) Double marked American Railway
Express "PL837" (3) Double marked Railway Express Agency
"1158" with modern chain (4) Railway Express Agency with unusual
large shackle opening "A813" The condition varies and all show signs
of use with no real abuse.
