Lot #398 - New Haven Railroad "Bean Pot" Pattern China Pot

dc11 Railroad New Haven  Size 2 3/4" diameter  Condition Excellent This is an authentic New Haven Bean Pot. This is a small individual serving size. It has a 2 3/4" diameter opening in the top. The last picture shows it next to a fake (We have John Hickman to thank for this junque). The fake is obvious when you see it next to the real thing. The real bean pots were rubber stamped and have a clear light and dark line in the pottery. These were once common, but you just don't see them anymore. If the winning bidder wants a fake too, just let me know and I can give you one. Excellent condition.   Return to Auction Listing copyright Scott Czaja 2011
