Lot #354 - 7 passes
It was not uncommon for recipients of
annual passes to trim the corners. They did this so that they could easily
get the pass out and then return it to their wallet without fiddling with
the corners snagging. 100 years ago nobody thought about collectors 100-150
years in the future. These are nice older passes. This group of annual passes
includes: (1) Chicago & North Western 1879 -
fancy banner (2) Flint & Pere Marquette 1882 -
nice date and banner (3) Hannibal & St Joseph 1879 - fancy
banner and date watermark (4) Memphis & Little Rock 1883 (5) Sioux City & Pacific 1884 -
(C&NW predecessor) (6) Toledo Peoria & Warsaw 1880 -
last year with this name predates TP & "Western" (7) Wisconsin Central 1880 - very nice
vignettes Condition varies, please see the pictures.
