Lot #298 - 3 Dater Dies

arl46 Railroad New York Central  Size standard  Condition vg /excellent This is a group of 3 brass dater machine dies from Ohio. They vary a bit in condition and they have not been cleaned. The last picture is a digital manipulation. Because the dies read backwards, it is awkward to read them. This group includes:  (1) Wellesley, Mass #1  (2) Trinity Place, Mass #6  (3) New York Central Extra #38 The Boston & Albany dies differ from many of the New York Central types. This is because the New York Central let the old machines and die styles remain in place after their take-over of the Boston & Albany.  All of the dies in this auction are from one collection.   Return to Auction Listing copyright Scott Czaja 2011
