Lot #285 - Lake Placid, New York Dater Die

Railroad New York Central

Condition vg /excellent

The last picture is a digital manipulation. Because the dies read backwards, it is awkward to read them. This die is from the Adirondacks. Dater dies were used in machines to validate tickets. The dater machines require a die. The dies usually have a location a and a number to help identify who stamped a ticket. All of the dies in this auction are from one collection.
