Lot #211 - Fitchburg Railroad Station Agent Hat Badge
This badge must be 111 years old. The
Boston & Maine took over the Fitchburg in 1900. The Fitchburg Railroad
is known for having a few styles of hat badges. This "Notch Top"
is a standard design for the Fitchburg. It measures 4" long and it is 1
1/8" tall. The front was cleaned up at some point. The reverse shows
real crud from actual use and the reverse has an old solder blob in the
center. This is a nice occupation from a long gone railroad. Very Good
condition.
