Lot #194 - Great Northern "Adams" Twist off pot Cast GNRY globe

Railroad Great Northern
Size 5 1/2" tall globe
Condition Very Good

This is an earlier Adams model with a twist off pot and wire wrap base wires. It has the standard flat verticals and round horizontal wires. The Lid has the standard Adams marking and "GNRY" stamped on one side. The lid also has "11680" stamped in the panel provided for serial numbers. I don't see a lot of GN twist off frames. The frame has pitting and could use a better cleaning.

The globe is a very nice GNRY in a square panel. The globe also has the "Dec 30, 1902" patent information cast in tiny letters across the top. This was the "break-out" from extended base globes and the patent was only cast into the early "Corning" styles for a few years. The globe also has some nice air bubbles. The casting is excellent.

I think this lantern is a sleeper with some cleaning required. Good condition.
