arl88 Railroad New York Central  Size standard  Condition vg /excellent This is a group of 7 brass dater machine dies are from upstate New York. They vary a bit in condition and they have not been cleaned. The last picture is a digital manipulation. Because the dies read backwards, it is awkward to read them. This group includes:  (1) Buffalo Central Terminal  (2) LaSalle Street Station, Chicago  (3) 165 Broadway, NY  (4, 5, 6, 7) different Extra dies marked NYC Dater dies were used in machines to validate tickets. The dater machines require a die. The dies usually have a location a and a number to help identify who stamped a ticket.
