Lot #170 - 2 Beacon, NY Dater Dies

 

arl74 Railroad New York Central  Size standard  Condition vg /excellent This is a group of 2 brass dater machine dies from Beacon, New York. They vary a bit in condition and they have not been cleaned. The last picture is a digital manipulation. Because the dies read backwards, it is awkward to read them. This group includes:  (1) #1 lots of wear and barely legible  (2) #2 is in fine condition. Dater dies were used in machines to validate tickets. The dater machines require a die.
