Lot #88 - Boston & Maine Wax Sealer ~ Clinton Freight
This is a "big head" style
B&M sealer. It came with several others from the Worcester & Nashua
Division in Massachusetts. Clinton is a junction point with the Old Colony
(New Haven line that ran from Framingham to Fitchburg). After the Wachusett
Dam was built the Central Mass Division of the B&M was redirected to run
just south of downtown and shared this freight depot too. The Clinton
passenger depot has an upstairs (New Haven) and a downstairs (B&M). The
depot still stands. The sealer has the B&MRR marking with periods. The
handle has seen little use. Please note that the sealer reads
"backwards" and the additional photo we provide that is easy to
read is digital trickery. Excellent condition.
