Lot #70 - 3 New York State Dater Dies

arl73 Railroad New York Central  Size standard  Condition vg /excellent This is a group of 3 brass dater machine dies from New York State. They vary a bit in condition and they have not been cleaned. The last picture is a digital manipulation. Because the dies read backwards, it is awkward to read them. This group includes: (1) Tarrytown #3 - Hudson Main Line  (2) Tuckahoe #1 - small commuter drop near Bronxville  (3) Brewster #7 Dater dies were used in machines to validate tickets. The dater machines require a die. The dies usually have a location a and a number to help identify who stamped a ticket. All of the dies in this auction are from one collection.   Return to Auction Listing copyright Scott Czaja 2011
